A new motherboard with a small form factor, offering significant improvements in processor performance and doubling graphics capabilities compared with the previous generation.

Based on low-power 10 nm technology (TDP from 6 to 12 W), the AIMB-218 offers up to 4 cores with a turbo frequency of 3.0 GHz and up to 850 MHz for the Gen 11 graphics co-processor, boosting processor performance by up to 50% and doubling its graphics processing capabilities, compared with the previous ATOM generation. The AIMB-218 is designed for advanced industrial computing applications that require high-resolution graphics and low power consumption, including customer information, smart kiosks, digital signage, smart manufacturing, medical devices and smart cities. What's more, its wide operating temperature range (-20 to 70° C) makes it ideal for outdoor industrial environments.

The AIMB-218 offers superior graphics capabilities via Intel® UHD graphics up to 32EU. The AIMB-218 supports numerous display interfaces, including DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI 1.4, LVDS and eDP, handling 4K screen resolution at 60Hz progressive scan across 3 displays. In addition, AIMB-218 features enhanced memory capacity up to 32 GB via DDR4 3200 MHz with IBECC. The Mini-ITX motherboard has low latency for high-resolution video content; this is particularly appreciated in display control applications using this new Elkhart Lake generation. Elkhart Lake therefore offers high graphics capabilities, high-speed memory, strong storage capacities and a very fast data transfer rate.

Although very compact (21 mm high), the AIMB-218 includes a variety of I/Os, including two LANGbE ports, 3x USB 3.2 Gen2, 5x USB 2.0 and 1x SATA III. In addition, the motherboard supports 6x high-speed COM (1Mbps) (COM 1 supports 5V / 12V, COM2 supports RS-232/422/485 automatic flow control) to improve data synchronization accuracy over the network and reduce latency duringequipment communication.

The Mini-ITX motherboard offers 1x PCIe Gen.3 for enhanced AI (artificial intelligence) capabilities. Its 1x M.2 slot (E key) for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules, and 1x M.2 slot (B key) with SIM card support for LTE and mSATA modules support scalable networks and efficient storage configurations.

The AIMB-218 supports 64-bit operating systems for Windows 10, Yocto, Ubuntu, Android 10 and Wind River VxWorks 7, as well as support forOpenVino and integrated WISE-DeviceOn.
